The winners

The price of Eaagads Limited rose 9.52% to make it the top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. 10,200 shares of the coffee grower changed hands today. Olympia Capital Limited continued its strong morning performance to end the day 9.09% up at KES 9.00. Unga group, Kenya Orchards, and Total Kenya limited were the other companies whose value rose the most today.

The losers

Eveready East Africa  which went down 5.41% was the biggest loser today. Other companies which shed value are East African Portland Cement , Jubilee Insurance, Uchumi Supermarket and media company Standard Group. The companies lost 5.33%, 4.24%,  3.30%, and  2.94% at the close of the bell respectively.

Most Shares Traded

Equity Bank, Safaricom, Mumias Sugar Company, Cooperative Bank and CIC Insurance had the most shares traded. 5.90, 3.25, 1.46, 0.94 and 0.59 million shares of each respectively changed hands today.

Indices

Both the NSE 20 share index and the NSE All Share Index declined today. Down 0.44%, 0.13%  they ended the day at 5300.21 and 163.27 respectively.
