We have so far covered Safaricom and Airtels’ mobile data plans, today we will look at what Orange Kenya has to offer.

Orange mobile has identified that different people have different data needs, thus they have a selection of different data bundles for you to choose from. Orange Internet on Mobile offer allows you to enjoy the following phone data bundles.

Orange subscribers are free to subscribe and unsubscribe from data bundles of their choice.

Orange subscribers also have unlimited internet data plans for mobile users. Such plans include:

• Daily offer which cost KES 39 per day and is valid for 1 day
• Weekly offer which cost KES 249 per day and is valid for up to 7 dayss
• Monthly offer which cost KES 990 per day and is valid for up to 30 days.

Once you subscribe to this service, your airtime will be subtracted automatically based on the selected offer. You will also be free to unsubscribe from the service.

Users of Orange Unlimited data plan are subjected to Fair Usage Policy (FUP). This means their internet speeds will be reduced once they hit a certain amount of downloads. They will then be subjected to the reduced speeds until the end of the validity period of the unlimited data plan they subscribed to. You will receive notifications on the FUP usage.

Orange mobile subscribers also enjoy free Facebook browsing on a special Facebook site: 0.facebook.com. This site is only accessible on mobile devices and has all of the key features of Facebook and is optimized for speed at no charge.

From 0.facebook.com you will be able to access your home page, nortifications, wall posts and status updates at no charge. There is though one disadvantage to this service. O.facebook.com is a text-only version of the mobile version of Facebook. This means subscribers will only view all the content in text but all other images and videos are removed from the site. In case you choose to browse pictures, images or videos which are not contained within the 0.facebook.com site, you will be prompted with a notice that by navigating out of any of the site, you shall be charged the normal Internet charges as according to your current Internet plan.

Based on your mobile browsing preference,  you can choose from subscribing to limited mobile data bundles to unlimited mobile internet plans to free Facebook browsing. the choice is yours.
