Orange Kenya has unveiled another high speed modem dubbed Domino. The Domino is a plug and play device with Wi-Fi transmission functionality. It can support up to five users within a radius of 20 metres and it runs on Orange’s 3G network. The modem is targeted to SMEs, SoHos and users on the move.
According to Orange Kenya CEO Mickael Chossein, the new modem will improve the value proposition of Orange to its SME and SoHo market.
“This is a sector that contributes close to 20% of the country’s GDP. Orange is therefore obliged to play its role to support this important sector with the provision of varied data connectivity options, dependent on the nature of their business and processes,” he said.
The Domino modem users can purchase already existing prepaid and postpaid data bundles or the unlimited data offerings. Users will also be able to earn Ziada points from using this modem.
“Our customers will be able to redeem points earned for free calls, SMSs as well as devices,” said Ghossein
The Domino retails at KES 9,999. This is inclusive of 2GB data bundle for prepaid customers. The device which allows for faster and more convenient internet on the go is available at Orange shops and partner outlets.
