Samsung Electronics East Africa is set to launch the company's latest high end smart phone in the Kenyan Market tomorrow. SEEA Deputy MD Robert Ngeru said the company had already secured orders and the first stocks are already on the market.
The smart phone that can charge wirelessly has made a big buzz in among the online community. A special charger bought separately supports the wireless charging capability. It runs on the latest Android platform, Ice Cream Sandwich OS and has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD. It in addition supports up to 64 GB micro-SD card and can be expanded to 128GB.
Last month SEEA unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Pocket handset designed to introduce millions of Kenyans to the wide variety of Smartphone applications. This, according to Robert Ngeru was aimed at providing a platform for more than 8 million mobile subscribers to upgrade from basic mobile handsets functionalities to smart phone capabilities.
The high end smart phone which competes favorably with the likes of HTC One X, Apple's iPhone 4S and Nokia's Lumia 900 will be introduced in the Kenya market at around Ksh. 59,999.
