Here are the shares we will be closely watching in today’s trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange:
- Crown Paints – The share yesterday closed at a 3 year high of KES 36 after gaining 75 cents in the day. Since June the shares have rallied to trade above 30 shillings per share compared to the 25 shilling range from late last year into the first quarter of this year. We will watch to see if they top their high today.
- Kenya Reinsurance – The share closed yesterday at a new high of KES 11.25 last seen in just over two years. It gained 30 cents which was 2.74 percent of the share price. We will watch the share today to see if it gains further today.
- NIC Bank Rights – The rights edged up 40 cents to close at a price of KES 10.40 per right becoming the second most gaining shares at the NSE. Since late last week, the NIC Rights have been top gainers at the NSE; gaining 27 percent since Thursday. They will trade until Friday and we will watch how they perform until then.
