The Upwards Trend In Fuel Prices

The recent pump price review by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has seen the price of Super Petrol continue its upward trend to KES 121.13 in Nairobi, the highest since November 2011. The reduction of tax on Kerosene, which was expected to cushion Kenyans from high costs of living, seems not to be doing much as Kerosene prices continue to rise.

The international crude oil prices seem to have stabilized as the price of Murban crude oil has stagnated at US$ 126.99 a barrel for the period of March 2012 to April 2012.
