Top Movers at the NSE Close Unmoved

The turnover at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was low yesterday with just over KES 203 million going round in the market compared to KES 360 million on Wednesday.

The top movers in yesterday's trading session were Safaricom Limited with 3.899 million shares trading to hold the "top mover" spot followed by Kenya Power & Lighting Company with 1.244 million shares trading yesterday. There were 969,900 Equity Bank shares traded yesterday and 769,600 KCB shares on the move. There were 331,200 Cooperative Bank shares traded yesterday to round up the top movers list.

Unchanged

Interestingly however, all of the top-moving shares yesterday remained unchanged with their prices closing the same as they were the day before. Safaricom closed at KES 3.35 just as it did on Wednesday, Kenya Power closed at KES 14 and Equity Bank closed unchanged at KES 20.25. KCB closed unchanged at KES 23 while Cooperative Bank also closed unchanged at KES 13.35
