As of 12:46:00 PM today, the highest moving stock was Safaricom Limited with 2,905,500 shares trading in 84 bids. The share is currently trading at KES 3.50, a 5 cent appreciation on the share translating into a gain on 1.45 percent.
Mumias Sugar comes second in trading volumes in the day with 1,407,800 shares traded in the day thus far in 93 deals. The share of the sugar company is trading at KES 6.55, unchanged from yesterday's closing price (read yesterday's closing bell here).
Bamburi Cement has appreciated 4.49 percent in mid-morning trading, the KES 7 gain pushing the share price to KES 163 from yesterday's closing price of KES 156 with 45,200 shares trading.
Limuru Tea has continued its losing spell on the NSE, the counted losing KES 10 so far, a 2.17 percent drop in value to trade at KES 450 with 7,200 shares traded in a single deal.
Standard Chartered Bank has appreciated 4.71 percent so far in trading, the share appreciating KES 9 to trade at EKS 200. 4,400 shares have been traded so far in 6 deals.
