The latest Bonga points redemption promotion, dubbed Jisort na Smartphone Reloaded, has seen Safaricom lower the Bonga points redemption matrix by about 77.8 % in comparison to the previous Bonga points redemption promotion.

Previously one had to redeem 8,000 Bonga points then add KES 3,999 in order to get an Ideos Ascent Y100. The redemption matrix has now been reduced requiring one to redeem 2,000 Bonga points the add KES 4,999 to get the same phone.

Comparing the two, one will redeem 6,000 Bonga points less now for an Ideos Ascent Y100 as compared to the previous Bonga points promotion.

From the above, those redeeming there bonga points now will redeem a lesser amount of Bonga points as compared to those who redeemed their points during the previous Bonga points redeeming program. However, they will have to top it with quite a bit of cash.
