The QWERT movement is Nokia East Africa latest aggressive marketing strategy as they introduce four models of a new range of QWERTY keypad mobile phones dubbed Nokia Asha family into the Kenyan market. These include Asha 200, 201, 302 and 303 and are semi-smart phones with features enabling fast internet connectivity, integrated social networking and messaging.
Nokia Asha retail prices are KES 7,300 for Ashs 200, KES 7,300 for Ashs 201, KES 10,000 for Asha 302 and KES 13,730 FOR Asha 303.
The Nokia 200 has dual SIM capability, and a 32 GB memory card slot, while the Nokia 303 has a QWERTY keypad, touchscreen, 1 GHz processor, 3G and WLAN.
Yesterday morning, as an introductory offer, the Nokia 200 was retailing at KES 4,000 at KICC.
