yuMobile BlackBerry Services for Retail, Corporate Clients

Mobile operator yuMobile recently unveiled its long awaited BlackBerry Service Plan, giving both its retail and corporate subscribers an option of eight BlackBerry service to pick from. The service plans include:

i) BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)

The Blackberry Internet Service is an internet-based solution best suited for use by small businesses that may not have a dedicated email server, and individuals with personal email accounts.

It has provision for 10 email addresses plus personalized email from yuMobile: name@yu.blackberry.com

This plan is open to both postpaid and prepaid subscribers.

Monthly subscription to this plan is KES 999 while daily subscription is KES 50.

ii) BlackBerry Enterprise Solution (BES)

This plan is designed for large scale corporate customers that currently have enterprise email systems. It provides an integrated package that includes hardware, software and access to the service. In addition, BES allows corporates to implement their IT policies for their BlackBerry Users.

This plan is only available to postpaid subscribers.

Monthly subscription to this plan is KES 1,999

There is an option of subscribing to both BlackBerry Enterprise Solution plan and BlackBerry Internet at a rate of KES 1,999.

iii) BlackBerry Complete

This plan has provision for one email address and access to social sites.

Monthly subscription fee for this plan is KES 499 while daily subscription rate is KES 20.

iv) BlackBerry Social

This plan allows users to only access social sites; there is no email access provision under this plan.

Monthly subscription fee for this plan is KES 400 while daily subscription fee is KES 15.
